In 1906, George Schultess, Carl Heinzerling and Henry S. Dills established Creek Chubb in Garrett, Indiana. They have been leaders in the industry. Notable catches include George Perry's 1932 world record largemouth bass on a Creek Chub Wiggle Fish.
Creek Chubb was the first company to produce scale patterns in their unique paint jobs. They are highly collectible. One visit to E-Bay and it obvious :)
In 1978 the Creek Chub Bait Co. was sold to the Lazy Ike Corporation. The plant quit all production and the doors were closed. In 1981 the Creek Chub building in Garrett, Indiana was torn down.
They are back after nearly 20 years. I know they are producing a wooden pikie and a plastic knucklehead popper, not sure what else yet.
